Christmas Words Of Faith
He Gave To Us
He gave us our life. He gave us opportunities to serve Him
each day. Most of all, He gave us Himself. He gave us His all and what did we
do? We have let ourselves be pulled into places He would not have us go. Our
world has in the past and in the present rebelled against Him. In most places,
among many people, we live with others who have limited or no self-control. In
contrast, through Him and because of Him, He has given us the power to conquer
every dark power and every dark influence in our life. Through Christ's love and
grace pouring into our heart, we can grasp His unseen hand and defeat the pain,
isolation, and darkness seeking to destroy us. He gave to us, and we trust Him.
We believe He hears our every prayer. We believe He loves us beyond measure. We
believe He will always stand beside us and help us control our life so our life
is a shining witness to His love and mercy. In all we say, think, and do, He
will work in us and through us to enable us to be self-controlled, sober, holy,
and devout. He will touch our heart so we may yield and surrender our heart to
Him. He gave to us. What shall we give to Him? In full truth and honesty, we
have nothing to give to Him except our soul. For Him, our soul is enough because
for Him, our soul is His greatest treasure in all creation.
