Of Faith About How You Don't Need To
Hide Any More
People who commit crimes run away or hide from the police.
People who commit crimes run away or hide from the police because the violators
of the law know they are guilty. The perpetrators know they are guilty and do
not want to get caught. In many ways, people who do not want to face themselves,
or face God, run away or try and hide from God. People run away by staying away
from church. People run away by avoiding "religious" people. People
run away from God all the time in ways so numerous we cannot begin to grasp.
However, two thousand years ago, Christ was born and sent a message to all
people. The message was, they do not need to run away any more. We do not need
to hide from God because God is not the great punisher we think God is not the
great punisher we want to make Him out to be. God came to us as a baby…a baby
we could hold and cuddle. Jesus came as a baby of innocence bringing us great
joy. Jesus came into the world as a baby so we would know we need not have any
fear of God. Not having any fear of God, you do not need to run away from Him,
either. We ran away from Him but He came and found us to save us. He called out
to us as we were running away because He loves us. We were profane in our
thoughts and words about Him but He forgave us and He still calls us to be His
very own.
