Words Of Faith To Push Back Against Temptation There
are times when it seems you cannot stand against the forces of temptation. However,
if you are helpless against temptation, then you are helpless because you have
given up. You
are helpless because you have decided you cannot fight back. Realize
you are helpless against temptation only when you try to use your own power. You
are helpless because your will dominates and you do not seek Christ's will and
His power when temptation comes. With
just your own power, you are helpless to fight against the sinister power
wanting to drive you into the ground. The
sinister power continually urging, cajoling, and drawing you into doing what you
know you should not do is the power of Satan. By
Christ's power and by His love for you, affirm before Him you want the power to
stand against temptation. Ask
Him to help you push back against temptation. Affirm
before Him you know you are not alone in fighting back. Affirm
before Him you know He is with you and you will push back against any temptation
begging you to do wrong things. Affirm
before Him you shall combine your will and His will so you both push back
against temptation in unity, Realize
how no power of temptation can overcome both you and Christ when you stand as
one. By
Christ's power and by His love for you, affirm before Him you shall push back
against Satan's darkness with all your heart, all your might, and all your soul. |
