A Prayer About The Fall

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
For so very long I have disconnected myself from The Fall.
After all, Adam and Eve bit into the forbidden fruit thousands of years ago.
I disconnected what Adam and Eve did from my own life.
However, because of your love for me, you have given me the wisdom to see the truth about The Fall and see the truth about my own life.
I can see I am just like Adam and Eve.
Living in my discontent and living in my frustrations, I want wisdom of sinful things and Adam and Eve wanted wisdom of sinful things.
Living in my discontent, I want more just like Adam and Eve wanted more.
Living in my discontent, I want what is forbidden even when I know I should not want what is forbidden.
Sin is attractive to me just like sin was attractive to Adam and Eve.
Sin is tempting to me just like sin was tempting to Adam and Eve.
Sin appears like sin will feed me when in truth sin will starve me to death.
However, because you love me and because you have poured out you life for me on the cross, I am able to see and admit the truth about my sin.
Because you love me and because I am able to see and admit the truth about my sin, I am set free from the temptations and entanglements of sin.
Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Thank you for being my Savior and Guide.
Thank you for helping me by defending me and being my shield against the evil one who tries to tempt me and take me down.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
