Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
The world is full of needy people.
The sick, the poor, the lame, and the broken fill every land.
Help me see needy people and respond to them with an open heart.
When I give to the needy, do not let me glory in my giving.
When I give to the needy, but instead let me open my heart to the needs before me.
When I give to the needy, do not let me think about receiving any reward from the other person or any reward from you.
When I give to the needy, let me give only because the other person has a need and I can help.
When I give to the needy, do not let me draw any attention to myself.
When I give to the needy, make it possible for me to give in secret so the receiver does not know who I am, where I am, or anything about me.
When I give to the needy, make my heart like your heart.
Help me do all I do and do all I can to listen to you, to know you, and to follow you.
When I give to the needy, remind me to pray night and day for the receiver of my gift to find eternal life in you so they will never perish and so no one can snatch them out of your hand.
