A Prayer To Ask In Christ's Name

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Never let me ask for things of this earth.
Instead, let me ask for things of heaven.
When I get caught up in the daily chores I find to be such a burden, help me stop for just a minute and think about what you would want me to ask about and ask for.
When my burdens seem to get too heavy, help me stop for just a minute and think about asking for others rather than asking for myself.
Let me ask for your glory to prevail in every heart.
Let me not ask for myself until I am exhausted asking for others.
Let me ask for your joy in every moment.
Let me ask for your peace in every hour.
When I am alone and lonely, remind me to not be selfish but instead remind me to ask for your love to fall down upon the lives of others.
When I am separated from those I cherish, remind me to ask for your love to fill their heart and life.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
