A Prayer About Being Sent Into The Fire

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Life is tough.
Life is full of pain.
Life can be even more painful when we make decisions to follow you and only do your will.
I know the pain of following you will be rewarded some day.
I also know the pain of not following you is intense heartache and intense torment forever.
I know you call me to be your child in love.
I know you will never leave me or desert me.
Although I know you and I walk with you, the pain of making so many sacrifices for you sometimes begins to eat away at me.
When I think like this, when I get selfish and I wallow in my self-pity, wake me up to the real truth.
Wake me up to the real truth any sacrifice I make in your name multiplies in grace, beauty, power, and love, millions of times over.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
