Prayer To Cast Off The Sin Of Trying to
Control Events and People Through Sinful Behavior
Most Precious Lord Jesus�
Gentle And Wonderful God�
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit�
I am in the chains of sin because I am trying to control events and people
by using helplessness, guilt, coercion, threats, advice-giving,
manipulation, or domination.
I despise this behavior in myself.
This behavior is sinful in your eyes.
Please, Lord Jesus, please help me change.
Whatever you need to do in my life to get me to change, please do so this
minute.
I do not mean to do the things I do.
I am a slave to my behavior.
In your name and by your holy power, I come against my sinful behavior.
Precious Lord, I need you now.
I need your love and touch to free me from my sinful behavior.
I need your love and touch to give me a new way of behaving.
I accept you anew into my heart and life.
I accept you as my personal savior, saving me from the eternal outer
darkness with its consuming fire.
All these things we humbly pray in the name of our most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, our Mighty God, and our Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom we can
rely.
