A Christmas Prayer Of Preparation
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Jesus, I love you.
As the days approach the day we celebrate your birth, let me be an
instrument of your love.
Let me be in instrument of your love, and today, tomorrow, the next day,
and all the days of my life, may I be a person who gives from the heart
because you live within me.
May I be thinking of you, not just during the Christmas season, but may I
be thinking of you all year round.
I am but a tiny fraction of a fraction of all the people on earth, yet I
know you want me to be an instrument of your love, truth, and grace.
As the days approach when you return to us once more, help me to help
others prepare their hearts for your return to us.
As the days approach when you come to us again, help us to be humble,
contrite, and expressive of your love.
As the days approach when you come to us again in the clouds, let us keep
our eyes looking upward.
Remind us this day that when we see you again you will be the same person
we saw when you were placed in the manger in Bethlehem.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
