A Christmas Prayer About
Christ's Gift Of Power To Forgive
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Lord, I know this is not much of a Christmastime thought.
But I have a problem with forgiving.
Too often, I have taken in hurts, slights, and even persecutions way too
personally.
Too often, I think about what others have done against me.
Too often, I think about how things would have been different in my life
if others had been more helpful.
Shame on me, Lord.
Shame on me.
Please help me forgive others.
This Christmas season, help me come to a fuller understanding about how
you came into the world giving me the power to forgive.
Inspire me to let all my anger and frustration slip away.
Inspire me to kneel down next to your manger scene and place all my
troubles with others into your little hands.
Inspire me to pick you up and hold you in my arms, just like you pick me
up and hold me in your arms every day.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
