A Prayer To Find The Power To Change

Most Precious Lord Jesus�
Gentle And Wonderful God�
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit�
I want to change.
At least I think I want to change.
I understand I must change the way I am and I understand I must change the way things are with me.
However, I do not want to change.
I say I want to change, I think I want to change, yet I remain the same.
In all truth, I am afraid of changing.
In all truth, I am afraid of what might happen if I change.
Sometimes the uncertainty and insecurity associated with changing is worse than what I must change.
So, here I am.
I need your help to change into who you want me to be.
I need your help to be all of who you want me to be.
Stand next to me as I try to inch my way forward day by day to be your child in all I say, think, and do.
Stand next to me as I try to change who I am.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
