A Prayer About Finding God And Eternal Life

Most Precious Lord Jesus
Gentle And Wonderful God
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit
I tried to find you by being smart.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you by being wise.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in education.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in great literature.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in society.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in listening to the wise ones.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in music.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in art.
But I did not find you.
I tried to find you in the cultures of the world.
But I did not find you.
I found you only when I turned away from the world and melted down into a little child.
When I melted down and became as a little child I found you hanging from a crosshanging on a cross just for me.hanging on a cross because of mehanging on a cross because of my sinhanging on a cross to save me.
Please forgive me, precious Lord.
I turn away from the world and turn away from my sin.
I accept you into my heart and life as my savior and Lord.
Thank you Lord Jesus for being my God.
Thank you Lord Jesus for being my Savior.
Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me eternal life with you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
