A Prayer About The Flowering Of Happiness

Most Precious Lord Jesus�
Gentle And Wonderful God�
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit�
I had nothing.
I was in total despair and hopelessness.
Yet in your power, love, and grace, you made something from nothing.
Out of nowhere I was filled with happiness.
Out of nothing came happiness filling my heart.
I had a thought and the thought made me smile.
I had an image in my mind and the image brought me joy.
I remembered something of the past and the remembrance brought me the same happiness now as I had then.
With the same perception I had a short time ago I turned around and I saw everything in a new light.
My old days became new days.
My old fears became new challenges.
My old worries became new thoughts of optimism.
I had nothing but as I began to see how much you had done for me, what was nothing became something great, grand, and wonderful.
I had nothing but when I got outside of myself and got outside of my selfishness for just a moment, I was able to count the petals of the flower you made for me�then, in ways I do not understand, all things became new�all things began to blossom before my eyes.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
