A Prayer Of Protection For Others

Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
We love you.
Into your hands, those hands that were nailed to the Cross, we commit the lives of friends, family, and all those with whom we have contact in any way by any form.
Into your hands, we place our state, our nation, and our world.
We seek your protection for those in our world who cannot protect themselves.
We seek your divine mercy to flow over those persons who are sick, lame, diseased, poor, and in great afflictions.
We seek your redeeming hand to come down upon the brow of those persons who are lost and without a shepherd.
We seek your redeeming hand to be placed upon the shoulder of those persons who are broken, beaten, abused, and without hope.
We are devastated when we see the work of the darkness in this world.
We seek to be uplifted in knowing you are present in every circumstance and you will make all things right in the end.
Terribly, nations are marching ever closer to a war that can take millions of lives and destroy many countries.
Search our hearts and give us a vision of hope and peace.
Help us to look up to you hanging upon the Cross when we seek forgiveness.
In this mighty battle of good and evil, between right and wrong, between darkness and light, between you and Satan, let us not be confused, deceived, and misled.
We bring to you many sorrows of the world.
Dry up our tears.
For you are our only hope, our hope everlasting.
We love you, Lord Jesus.
In the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit who lives within us and touches us,
Amen
