Prayer For Times When You Get False Feelings Of Self-Worth From Helping Others

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
In your love and grace, always inspire me to help others for godly reasons.
Never let me try to help others to make myself feel better.
Never let me try to help others give myself a false feeling of self-worth because to do so is not in your will.
In helping others, empower me to be fully truthful and honest before you.
In helping others, empower me to be fully truthful and honest with myself.
If I help others for selfish reasons like making myself feel better, remind me I am being selfish.
If I help others for selfish reasons, help me learn to help myself to help others without being selfish.
Help me learn to make myself stronger and healthier so I can reach out to others.
When I try to help others, help me try to do all I can to help others in totally anonymous and unselfish ways in your presence.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
