A Prayer For God's Drama and Excitement In
Life
Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
Our eyes hunger for the sensational.
Our hearts yearn for drama.
Our lives are full of power unknown to generations before us, yet we
hunger for more.
O Lord, I fear we might now receive a drama we do not want.
Our sins have torn at your heart and made you both sad and angry.
Please forgive us our transgressions.
Inspire us to be more Christ-like every hour.
When we are wronged, help us forgive.
When we are hurt, help us come to you for your healing touch.
When we are isolated, help us turn to you and see you near.
When our senses are dulled by the boredom and sameness of life, pour into
us your power, your presence, your excitement, your vision, and your hope.
When the creations of human beings begin to hurt us and tear at us, may
your hands be placed upon us.
We know we will be healed.
When we yearn to be free, touch our hearts and help us sail above the
clouds.
When we yearn to be more humble, touch our minds so we can reach higher
than ever before.
When we fall down and have not done your will, reach down and lift us up.
We love you, O Lord.
We adore you, Precious One.
All these things we humbly pray.
