A Prayer For When Our Heart Hurts For Another Person

Precious Jesus, Savior, and friend to me,
I am not so eloquent right now.
My heart hurts for some people who you know.
They need you to wrap your arms around them and hold them tight.
I cannot take away their pain but I know you can.
I do not know what to do right now except talk to you.
They need you very much.
I am weeping for them.
I am hurting with them.
Even if they do not know you as I do, please do not hold that against them, for they can come to know you during this time.
Although I feel quite helpless right now, please find a way for me to be used by you.
Give me words of comfort, words of solace, and words of enduring love to soothe the pain of these people I hold in my heart.
In the name of my blessed Jesus, almighty God, and ever-comforting Holy Spirit, Amen
