A Prayer For Help To Respond To Evil

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I do not want to see bad things.
I do not want to see evil.
I do not want to see darkness and pain.
I do not want to see suffering and poverty.
No matter how much I do not want to see bad things, I know you want me to live in truth and honesty.
I know you want me to be truthful with others, truthful with you, and truthful with myself.
In being honest, I know you want me to be able to see evil and be honest about what evil is.
Help me combat evil and darkness with your love and light.
Permit me to see the wiles of Satan and permit me to see how Satan wants to attack, destroy, and maim.
According to your will, when I should defeat the enemy, empower me and empower others when evil lurks.
Empower me and empower others when temptation seeks to separate you from me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
