A Prayer Of Honesty About Loneliness
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
I do not want to say this Lord.
I do not want to say these words because they hurt me so bad.
However, I must tell someone and of all the people on earth who I know,
you are the person who can understand what I must say more than any one
else.
Lord, I am lonely.
I am lonely in my heart and I have no one.
Even when I am surrounded by people, I am still lonely.
There are things I need to say to people, but I have no one to talk to
here on earth.
Everywhere I go I see people.
Many of the people I see, I have known for many years.
Yet, for some reason, I am not connected to them enough to express how
lonely I am.
As I say these words to you, I know I am not alone.
I know my life is full of others who feel the same pain of loneliness I
feel.
So, in your kind and gentle ways, help me overcome this darkness in my
life.
In your kind and gentle ways, help me reach out to others who are lonely.
In your kind and gentle ways, help me reach out to others to help them and
bless them with your love.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
