A Prayer For Hope In Poverty

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
O Lord God, I have lost all I own.
I have no hope of ever getting the things of my life back again.
I have lost all hope of things ever returning to the way they were.
O Lord God, even when I am sitting here in my poverty and hopelessness, I can hear you calling my name.
I can hear you telling me there is always hope in you.
Please help me now to more clearly hear your voice and feel your hope everlasting.
Please help me now to see how the things of this earth make no difference to you.
Please show me how the things of this earth need make no difference to me either.
Please help me to see your bounty of blessings will come to me as I walk away from material things and walk into your arms.
I know as surely as I am alive, as I trust you, you will fill my heart to overflowing with you hope for the future.
I know as surely as I am alive, as I trust you, you will fill my mind with a great vision of your Heaven waiting just for me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
