A Prayer About How Money And A Spiritual Life Do Not Mix

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Sometimes I want to be rich because I fear poverty.
Sometimes I think my life would be so much easier if I were rich.
No matter how much money I possessed, no amount of money could ever assuage the hardship of spiritual poverty I would have without you.
No matter how full my bank account might be, I would be consumed with utter emptiness if I did not have you as my mentor, my friend, and my constant companion.
Please Lord, help me not worship money, but worship you instead.
Show me the folly of wealth in money.
Show me the treasure my wealth is having you as my Savior and my Lord
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
