A Prayer For Humility To Build In Faith
O precious Lord Jesus, wonderful God, empowering Holy Spirit,
I thank you for giving me such a great mission.
I thank you for pushing me onward when I have no strength of my own.
When the evil one comes and launches an attack against me, in your name
and aligned with your will, I seek your power so I can remain faithful to
you.
Although I cannot see you, in faith, I try to live each day as if I can
see you.
Although I cannot hear you with my earthly ears, I can sense your
presence, even when the evil one tries to deafen me with pain and
suffering.
Let my life be a life of faith connected to you by unseen chords.
Let my life be a life of trust enchained to you by the strings of your
love.
Let the waves of your calling me each minute resound in my heart.
Let the vibrations of your power resonate through all of my thinking,
feeling, and behavior.
When the world tries to overwhelm me, put your holy fear within me so I
will remain faithful.
When I seek to go my way rather than your way, shake my ego so I will rely
upon you and rely upon your guidance.
When times of poverty come, show me the real wealth of life is not in
human design or human collection.
Instead, show me the real wealth of life is in your love.
When I must make decisions about matters of daily life, let me make
decisions to glorify you rather than glorifying myself.
Let all the things I build in life be a reflection of how much you love me
and how much you love others.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit. Amen. |
