A Prayer In Quiet Humility

Matthew 6:5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. (NIV)

Most Precious Lord Jesus�
Gentle And Wonderful God�
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit�
Lord Jesus, Lord of all that has been, Lord of all that is, Lord of all that shall ever be,
I kneel before you in utmost humility.
I kneel before you in total poverty of spirit.
I kneel before you in emptiness of heart.
I kneel before you in my little place where no one knows I am praying except you.
Pour out your love upon those I pray for each day.
Pour out your compassion upon those I pray for each day.
Turn their hearts to you.
Turn their minds to you.
Lead them only upon your narrow path of righteousness.
Lead them only upon your narrow path of redeeming life.
Let no one know about our prayer time so I will always remain humble in your sight.
Let me never speak in pride or in ego about our time together.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
