A Prayer About Increasing And Overflowing Love

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Too much of the time, my life is about me instead of being about you.
When my life is about me, there is no way love for you and love for others can increase and overflow in my heart.
The good work I do for you does not count if I do not increase my love for you and increase my love for others in your name.
In my heart, I want my good work I do for you to cover over my sin.
However, I know in your heart no amount of good work can cover over any of my sin.
I know in your heart I must come to your cross with a heart broken over my sinful ways.
I know the only way you can increase love and have love overflow to others around me is for me to be broken and in pieces as I kneel at the foot of your cross.
In my sinful mind, I would like to think I build up credits with you because of my good works.
In my sinful mind, I would like to think the credits of my good works make up for my sinfulness.
Change my sinful mind by turning me toward you.
Change my sinful thoughts by turning me toward you.
Change my sinful ideas by turning me toward you.
Change me so I am always broken and in pieces always needing your loving hand by turning me toward you.
Keep me dependent upon your spiritual healing to keep me in repair.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
