A Prayer About Indestructible Purses For
Treasures Of Heaven
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I am fearful Lord.
As events in my life spin out of my control, I seek security for myself
and for others I love.
I am fearful Lord.
Yet there is no security in this earthly life.
So many years have I spent trying to garner even just a modest amount of
earthly treasures to protect me�
Oh how foolish I have been!
How foolish of me to try and accumulate what will never be mine upon my
death.
How wise of me to build up treasures in heaven where no power can destroy
them and where I shall have an eternity to savor their goodness.
Let my fear of the future be tempered by knowing you hold me and hold my
loved ones in your loving hand.
Let my fear of the future be tempered by knowing my future is secure in
your love and grace.
Whatever possessions I have, let me give all my possessions to the poor.
Whatever I possess on the earth, may all I have be only yours and may you
provide for me now and when I live with you in heaven.
Remind me how your treasures waiting for me in heaven shall never wear
out, shall never be exhausted, shall never be stolen, and shall never be
destroyed.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
Amen.
