Prayer About The Outcome Of Faith

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I have always tried to do the right thing.
I have always tried to be just in all my dealings.
However, sometimes I have fallen.
I know, in my heart of hearts, I am a sinner.
I know, in my heart of hearts, I have fallen short of your glory.
Yet in my heart of hearts, I hear your gentle voice always calling me forward.
I hear you say I am forgiven and I believe you.
I hear you say how all my sins have been washed away and I believe you.
At those moments, those moments when I hear your forgiving love, I fall on my knees in godly sorrow, in godly contrition, and in supreme gratitude.
Every time I make mistakes and disappoint you, I have resolved to do better.
Over the years, I have done better, year by year.
Surely I am not the same person I used to be.
Your redeeming love has washed away the old person who used to be rebellious, unforgiving, ungodly, uncaring, and unloving.
Your redeeming love has placed within me a new person, a new child you call your very own.
Thank you, Precious Lord.
All day long my hope rests in you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
