Today, in the land of your birth, death, and resurrection, people are trying to make peace because of the unspeakable horror, suffering, and hatred that has gone before.
In addition, the very worst part of our human nature emerges daily all across the globe.
We need your help to bring peace to the Middle East and peace to the world.
We need your help to bring peace to us, to our hearts, and to our lives.
We have failed to bring peace by our own efforts.
We have failed to tame the hatred and venom infecting the human heart.
Please forgive us.
We are aghast at what we see.
We are fearful for the future of the world.
We seek your blessings of love, compassion, kindness, and mercy to be poured over every heart on earth.
Let your healing power flow down and heal the broken bodies as a result of the violence and darkness in every part of the world.
Let your mercy and your forgiveness repair broken souls.
Let your mercy bring comfort to those who are grieving.
We beseech thee to come now to put an end to this reign of terror.
We beseech thee to place your nail-scarred hands of love upon every person so we may have courage and resolve in these most desperate of times.
In every nation on earth, bring a new day full of hope.
In every heart of every leader, bring unselfishness and a desire to see only the good of God come into being.
In all the ways you can work, bring peace to the earth.
In your love so divine, bring an end to war.
In your mighty hand, dash all evil to the underworld and keep all darkness in the outer darkness where it belongs.
As the heart of the simple people of the earth cry out to you, hear their cry.
On the simple and humble folk of the world, pour out your comfort and love.
In the heart and mind of the weak, lame, and infirm, put the knowledge of your presence and a vision of your being.
In those who have turned away from you, put a shaking fear of evil.
Although we have erred and gone astray as a race of beings, remind all of us you love us and care for us.
Give every soul living upon this orb the vision of your Son hanging upon the Cross.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
