A Prayer About Perseverance and Its Work

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
If I want to stop doing your will, keep me going.
If I want to slack off from doing your will, push me onward.
If I want to rest when I need not rest, pull me ahead.
If I want to relax when relaxing is not warranted, excite me to keep on.
If I lack wisdom, make sure I know what you want me to know.
If I lack wisdom, give me humility so I can absorb and acquire your message to me.
In you, I do believe.
In you, I have no doubt.
In you, I place all of my life.
Keep me stable in all I do.
Keep me steady and on course toward your destiny for me.
Show me how my humility brings me closer to you.
Show me how my humility takes me to the center of your love for me.
What earthly possessions I have, show me how they will pass away like a wild flower.
What spiritual possessions I have, show me how they will endure from everlasting to everlasting.
Someday I shall fade away from this earth, but praise be to you because in you I shall reappear as bright, new, clean, and redeemed�fully ready for my new life in heaven.
When my trials mount up, keep me going against all odds.
When my trials mount up, keep me steadfast so I can pass the test.
When my trials mount up, keep me strong so I can win the crown of life you have promised me.
When I am tempted, show me how Satan is the enemy.
When I am tempted, show me your full power as I battle for you.
When I am tempted, show me how you are with me as I fight the good fight.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
