A Prayer For The Power To Change
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
You know me.
You know there are things I need to change.
As difficult as it is to change who I am and what I am, I know you are the
one who can help me change.
I cannot often change myself using my own power.
However, with you beside me and with you always before me, I know you will
empower me to change all the parts about myself you want changed.
I praise your name for making me like I am.
I praise your name for making me in such a fashion I can make changes in
my life.
Because of you, I know what I need to change in my life.
I know these things I need to change are not fixed or carved in stone.
Because of you, I know even those parts of myself I cannot change can be
dealt with, managed, and kept in control.
Your great and wonderful gift of will power within me I seek to increase
the most.
I want to change the vulnerable part of me Satan tries to use.
For I know with everything that is within me, you want me to lead a holy
and righteous life.
My life is full of your hope and your hope brings with it the ability to
control who I am and what I am.
My life is full of your hope and your hope brings with it the ability to
let you touch my life and let you help me change all you want changed.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen
