A Prayer About Preparing The Way For The Lord

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
The children of God, of which I am an adopted one, need your comfort and compassion.
Please let your tender voice fall upon the ears of our heart.
Let us know the hard road we must travel will come to a glorious and victorious end.
Let us know we are all redeemed by your blood shed on the cross to set us free and give us eternal life.
Show everyone how a life of sin surely carries a heavy penalty.
Show everyone how a life of sin requires a payment many times over what the payment of righteousness would cost.
In all we say and do, let us prepare a straight and easy waya way leading to God for the generations to come after us.
There will be a time when the costs of life will be erased.
There will be a time when the pain and suffering of life will be no more.
There will be a time when every valley is raised up, when every mountain and hill is made low, when the rough ground is made level, and when the rugged places are made plain.
May all of us be a witness, in a way glorious and divine, to the revealing of your glory.
We are like the grass that is here today and gone tomorrow.
Show us how our short time on earth can be used to be a blessing for you.
Show us how our short time on earth can be used to bring glory to your name.
No matter how brief our time is here upon this earth, you and your Word shall stand forever and ever.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
