A Prayer About Pushing Back Against Unbelief
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And
Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Sometimes I have doubts and I do not believe in you as much as I should.
Sometimes I have misgivings about you, about what you can do in my life,
and about what you can do in the world.
My human reason should tell me either I should believe or not believe.
The truth is I survive each day by using my ability to believe.
Every second I live, I live in faith.
I affirm before you my unbelief, my doubt, and my uncertainty.
I affirm before you this hour, I know your love calls me to you every time
I have a doubt, every time I have an uncertainty, and every time I have a
question.
Help me push back against those powers and forces trying to get me to
doubt and to question.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
