A Prayer About Putting Christ Above All Things

Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
When worries about the bills I have to pay begin to overwhelm me, help me put you first above all things.
When my job responsibilities begin to take me away from your love and presence, help me put you first above all things.
When my family matters get so difficult I feel like my world is coming apart, help me put you first above all things.
When dark news and information about the terrible state of the world comes at me non-stop, help me put you first above all things.
When the attractions of the world start to pull me away from your touch upon me, help me put you first above all things.
When I am pushed and pulled by the world against my will, stop me for just a moment and help me remember to put you first.
In the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit who lives within me and touches me,
Amen
