Prayer Seeking Forgiveness

Most Precious Lord Jesus�
Gentle And Wonderful God�
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit�
We are sorry Lord.
We are so sorry we made so many mistakes.
We are sorry because we were lazy and we did not get involved enough with our children and now our children care little about us and care little about each other.
We are sorry because we lived on credit, spending more than we brought in, and now we cannot even pay the interest on our debts.
We are sorry because we were so consumed by our things, our merchandise, and our stuff we did not see the the baby robin learning to fly, the green leaves turning to red and yellow, or the snow gently falling.
We are sorry because we glorified violence and now violence is outside our door.
We are sorry because we glorified exploitation and now we are being exploited.
We are sorry because we glorified every vile sin and now those vile sins are eating away at our world.
We are sorry because we glorified drunkenness and now drunkenness is no longer shameful.
We are sorry because we glorified drug abuse and now abusers cover the land.
We are sorry because we glorified crime and now crime is in every neighborhood.
We are sorry because we glorified killing and now the killing has come to every city.
We are sorry Lord.
Please forgive us.
We now see the error of our ways.
Please forgive us.
We now seek to change our ways.
We now turn to you.
We now return to your hour of prayer.
We now return to your sanctuary.
Empower us to glorify you before our children.
Empower us to glorify you before our elders.
Empower us to glorify sobriety.
Empower us to glorify chastity.
Empower us to glorify simplicity.
Empower us to glorify gentleness.
Empower us to glorify your love.
Empower us to glorify righteousness
Empower us to glorify your holy name.
Empower us to glorify all the great deeds of love you do in us every hour.
We love you, Lord Jesus.
All these things we humbly pray in the name of our most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, in the name of our Mighty God, and in the name of our Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom we can rely.
