Prayer To Be A Soldier Of Christ

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle and Wonderful God, Truly Awesome and Ever-present Holy Spirit, 
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I honor you and reach up to you because I know you love me.
I revere and respect you.
I know you live within me as well as residing in your home in Heaven.
I honor you not because I am afraid of you but because your love continues to pour over me.
In this spiritual war in which I am engaged, I am called to be your soldier yet I am often weak and small…my attempts to be a part of your holy army seem weak and feeble.
Please forgive me because too often I am caught up in my own life and I am not thinking enough about what you command me to do.
I am grateful you understand me and love me in spite of my many weaknesses.
I seek your wisdom to live my life for you and to defend this faith.
Help me humbly show your love to the world as a way to combat evil and darkness.
To battle against the dark powers, please help me show the world you are real and you love everyone just as you love me.
As your loyal follower, I have many burdens I must carry.
In carrying out your commission, I have many needs today.
I seek your tender touch and your grace to be alive in me when the darkness grows ever deeper around me.
Guide my steps in the future.
I ask you now to help those I pray for each day. 
Help them see your Light and love.
Help them face the fear, doubt, and insecurity of life.
When we are all tempted to go our own way, turn us to your way and remind us of our sacred objective.
To you I give all praise, honor, and glory.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
