A Prayer For Strength To Defend Our Faith Most
Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Let me love you so much I would be willing to die for you if necessary.
Let me love you so much I would be willing to sacrifice my life to see
your truth remain in the world.
Let my faith be so strong I will defend to my death your love touching
every heart.
Let me never seek to be comfortable in my faith in you.
Let me never seek my ease as a result of my allegiance to you.
Let me never ask you to make things better in my life for selfish reasons.
Whenever I seek to be more comfortable, let my seeking of comfort always
be for you and for your glory.
Whenever I seek to be more at ease, let my seeking of ease always be for
you and for your glory.
Whenever I seek to make things better in my life, let my seeking of
comfort always be for you rather than for me.
When pain comes, let the pain be used to remind me how much you love me.
When suffering comes, let the hurt be used to remind me you have forgiven
me.
When hurt comes, let the hurt bring me to my knees in humble adoration of
you.
Let me never stray away from the foot of your cross.
Let me never forget what you did for me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
