A Prayer For Strength To Do Right
Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, Awesome God,
Please help me always do the right thing.
Please help me always be one of your flock who humbly does your will.
In all ways and in all manners, let my life be a shining example of how
humility in you can conquer the evil of the world.
In a world gone astray, empower me to speak of your love.
In a world full of evil madness, let me show the gentleness of your heart.
In a world steeped in sin and corruption, let me help those who are lost
to find their way to you.
When I cannot stand against the evil ones and they come to take me away,
let me go with gentleness and a persevering heart.
When I see the world around me crumbling, let me help one person see your
light and your life.
In the middle of the darkness of this world, help me to shine your love.
In the middle of a world on the verge of self-destruction, give me the
power to hold the hand of the frightened child, soothe the fear of the
disabled, and calm the terror of the aged.
In you, all things are possible, and in you, all things shall be made new.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen.
