A Prayer For Strength To Never Turn Back
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
Although I know the difficulties of walking your path each day, I shall
not turn back.
Although I hear voices behind me calling me to come back to my old life of
sin and darkness, I shall not turn back.
Although I hear voices behind me telling me there is no use in going ahead
to you, I shall not turn back.
Although I even hear the ridicule of those I hold dear, the ridicule of my
friends and family, the ridicule of those I trusted in the past, I shall
not turn back.
Although my walk for you is difficult and things seemed to be easier
before I committed my life to you, I shall not turn back.
I hear the lie from others you have no power.
However, I know the truth, and I shall not turn back.
I hear the lie from others you do not love me.
However, I know the truth, and I shall not turn back.
I shall not turn back because I know in my heart you love me.
I shall not turn back because I know in my heart you died for me.
I shall not turn back because I know in my heart you wait for me to join
you when my journey here on earth is done.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen |
