A Prayer For Strength To Prevail Over Temptation

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, Awesome God,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
I rejoice in your presence and look forward to the day of your return.
I am full of your joy for you have enabled me to do your work in my small way.
Lord, the evil one has come against me and he is assailing me from every side.
I am tempted to be full of ego and do things glorifying only me.
I am tempted to eat until I cannot eat any more.
I am tempted to acquire wealth and forget about you.
I am tempted to walk away from your touch upon me.
You know my trials.
Let your hand always rest upon me.
Let the pain and suffering of my body remind me of your gift of salvation to me.
No matter how much the evil one tries to ravage my life, I shall hold fast to you with your help.
Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Thank you for these moments.
Thank you for the blessings you have given me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen.
