A Prayer About Taking The Hard Way
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I may never get the miracle I need.
I may never get the answer I want.
Lord Jesus, when I make a choice to do what is right and good in your
eyes, I know I may have to take the hard way out…for your way can be a
difficult way.
In my selfishness, I want to think taking the hard way out is not the way
things are to be.
In my selfishness, I want to think if I am willing to give my life away to
you, shouldn't you pay me back by giving me an easy road rather than the
hard road out of my circumstances?
When I take your way, remind me there shall come a time when the way
before me will be made smooth.
On the hard road, remind me I shall stand before you in all of your glory
and splendor.
On the hard road, remind me I will someday soon hear your words of love
and compassion say "Well done, good and faithful servant."
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
