A Prayer About Taking Time To Be Spiritual
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love
you.
Life has crushed me.
The pain, insecurity, and demands of my life have crushed me to such an
extent there is not much of me left.
I seek my diversions in television, in reading, in doing all kinds of
things to keep my mind occupied.
However, no matter how much of my time is taken up in diversions, I need
to make a conscious effort to take time to delve into spiritual pursuits
of finding you and being more of your child.
Inspire me to spend more time with you each day in prayer, in meditation,
in reading and reflecting upon the truths of your word, and in looking at
my inner life.
I know when I leave out the spiritual parts of my life then my life comes
up empty.
I know when I take time to be with you then my life is filled with your
love and grace.
Even in the times of my hardship and trials unending, when you are within
me, I can have your peace when I live life in spiritual terms.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen
