Matthew 14:22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone...(NIV)

A Prayer About Seeing Love

Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
Let me see love.
In the hatred and venom of my world let me see love.
Instead of the self-interest and selfishness in the world, let me see your love that totally changes me and changes my world
I ask to see your love because I know your love can be seen.
Blessed Father, blessed Lord Jesus, blessed Holy Spirit, let me see your love, let me see your love that makes all things new,
I ask to see your love because I know your love can be seen.
Let me see your love, the same love working even in the heart of the person running away and rebelling.
Then, let me be an instrument of your love and be a witness to the person running away and rebelling.
Let me see your love working on the heart full of sadness when love is absent.
Then, let me be an instrument of your love as I minister to the person full of sadness.
In your will and grace, help me help others, especially those who raise and care for little children so the children can live in peace, comfort, and joy because others love them.
Let me see love between couples with wrinkled hands and gray hair who have shared decades together.
Then, let me be an affirmation for those couples who have spent decades together.
Let me help those and be a comfort to those who are alone but whose eyes light up when they talk of days gone by.
Let me show love as I give hours of worry and dedication to others.
Let me see you, Precious Lord Jesus, and those you call your little ones.
Let me see you, the full embodiment of love, dying on the cross to give me eternal life.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
