A Prayer About Trusting In God

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Your name is above all names.
Your name is the power of all creation.
Place in me the holy desire to run to you when I want to do any kind of unrighteous thing.
Place in me the holy unction to run to you when I am tempted.
Place in me the holy power to fall upon my knees at the foot of your cross when I am tempted more than I can bear
Place upon my soul your full power so I may receive the full armor of your love.
You know me, Lord.
You have known me all the days of my life.
You even knew me before I was born.
You have been with me every second I was alive.
Yet I have too often gone my own way.
Too often I trusted more in myself than I trusted you.
How unwise of me to not trust the power of all creation!
In your special ways so divine, tap me on the shoulder and remind me your ways are the best ways.
Remind me you have never forsaken me in the past and you will never forsake me in the future.
Keep me trusting in you more and more each day.
When the power of darkness wants me to be selfish, inspire me to be unselfish.
When the power of darkness wants me to be full of anguish, inspire me to be at peace.
When the power of darkness wants me to be full of pain, inspire me to sit next to you and absorb your healing power of love.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
