A Prayer About Trusting Yourself

Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
I feel so deficient.
I feel like such a failure.
I have failed at everything.
I have never been able to succeed in anything.
My life is a shambles because of my mistakes and my lack of self-confidence.
OK, I know my life has not been a total waste.
I know you have always been with me no matter what I did.
It is just hard to trust myself when I have made such a mess out of things.
In your love and in your grace, help me put these pieces of my life back together.
Help me see I have potential in you I have never used.
Help me see I have power in you I have never used.
Help me see the mistakes and mess I have made were caused by my not being in your will.
Help me see I went my own way instead of your way and the result is the mess I am in now.
I love you, Lord.
Help me see I will always be in the palm of your hand.
Help me see my lack of self-confidence is caused by my thinking more about myself than about you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
