A Prayer For Upward Eyes

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
Precious Lord, my eyes want to turn away from the sin and darkness of the world.
Your world has gone astray and hope grows dim as time moves on.
When I see the world, when I see the sin, and when I see the darkness as it overtakes so many people
Let my eyes look upward.
Let my eyes look up into your starlit heavens full of uncountable stars.
Let my eyes look up into your billowy clouds floating by on a warm summer day.
Let my eyes look up into your majestic mountains with snow-capped peaks.
Most of all, let my eyes look up to you.
Let me see your love falling down upon the earth to touch hearts.
Let me see your love falling down upon the earth to call your little ones to come near to you.
Let me see your tender hands reaching out to humanity to gather your little ones next to you as a shepherd gathers his flock.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
