A Prayer For An Upward Heart
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
When my heart is sad and downcast because of circumstances in the world,
let my heart turn upward to you.
When my heart is sad and downcast because of circumstances in my life, let
my heart turn upward toward you.
Let my heart be raised up toward your voice calling me from your heavenly
home above.
Let my heart be lifted up according to your gracious will.
May my heart always be made open to your tender and uplifting touch.
May my heart sail up into your clouds of glory awaiting me just beyond the
horizon.
May my heart never be so troubled I cannot turn my eyes upward to gaze
upon your smiling face.
May my heart never be so heavy I cannot find a home in your love and a
refuge from your kingdom within me.
In your love and grace, lift up the eyes of my heart so I can see your
glory, know your truth, and absorb your hope filling every void in my
life.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
Amen |
