A Prayer About What Lasts Forever Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome
And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Many things about me change.
Yet, many things about me never seem to change.
Today, we have so many new inventions.
Today, we have so many new developments.
Our technology seems to be able to do miraculous things.
Yet, diseases, wars, economic downturns, and many other conditions
threaten us.
In all the tumult of my life, in all the changes, in all the ups and
downs, there is one never-changing part of my life…and it is you who
remains the same and shall always remain the same.
When my world seems to come apart, you are there to help me hold myself
together.
When my world seems to unravel, you are my constant and unmoving rock upon
which I stand.
When my world crumbles beneath my feet, you help me stand on solid ground
as you give me courage.
When my world is turned upside down, you are with me to keep me focused on
what is important, on what is real, and on how blessed I am to have you in
my life.
I love you, Lord.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen |
