A Prayer For A Time When God Disappoints

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I am disappointed Lord.
I am disappointed you have not done for me what I want done.
I expected big things from you but you have not delivered.
What am I to do?
Am I to wait until I die?
Well, OK, maybe I am wrong.
Maybe instead of my being disappointed in you, maybe you are a lot more disappointed in me than I am in you.
As I think about this, I can see where I am wrong.
I am sorry Lord, please forgive me.
In my heart I know it is not what you do for me because what I do for you and who I am for you is most important.
So in my disappointment with you, help me be your humble child.
Help me seek out your will as I try to put my own will aside.
Help me grow out of my disappointment.
Help me grow up, up, up into your Heaven.
According to your will, help me do everything in my power to glorify you and magnify your name.
Help me be your servant rather than expecting you to be my servant me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
