A Prayer For Wisdom When God Says "No" In Love

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I try to do what you want me to do.
I try to be obedient and refrain from doing what you do not want me to do.
I have selfish wants and needs.
I have selfish pleas and petitions I want to make.
I have many requests for myself.
I try not to bring my selfish needs to you.
Instead I try to bring the needs of others to the foot of your cross.
However, I would like your blessings and your hand to take away the many trials I face each day.
Yet many times, you tell me "No".
Many times, you tell me I cannot have what I want.
Many times, you tell me I must suffer on until my life is over.
I know when you tell me "No", it is because you love me.
Sometimes it is hard for me to accept when you love me you still will not help me like I want to be helped.
I know you do your good and wonderful work in my life in ways I do not recognize, in ways I may find puzzling or painful.
So as it pleases you, when you tell me "No", help me open my heart up to your love.
When you tell me "No", touch my heart so I understand more fully "No" can mean love.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
