A Prayer About When God's Love Does Not
Take Away The Pain
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Your love is supposed to ease my pain.
Your love is supposed to make my pain go away.
I believe your love will indeed take away my pain.
However, I have come to a time in my life when your love is real but my
pain remains.
When I am in pain and your love does not seem to make any difference, help
me pray, and pray, and pray some more.
Please give me the power to pray no matter what happens to me.
I affirm before you I believe you understand me.
I affirm before you I believe you will rise up against the darkness of my
pain.
I know you may not take away my pain for reasons I do not understand.
Even if my pain remains, I shall trust you and I shall put my whole life
into your hands.
Even if my pain remains, I shall join with others in prayer and fasting.
Even if my pain remains, I shall affirm your love for me and for the
world.
Even if my pain remains, I shall stay tough and be your humble child.
Even if my pain remains, I shall be forgiving, expressing your love, while
being unselfish in all things.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
