A Prayer About When You Cannot Handle Things Alone

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Many times I have come to a point in my life when I think I cannot handle things on my own.
Many times the tragedy and trauma of my life comes at me and it seems my life has spun out of control.
In you and with you, Precious Lord Jesus, I know I can handle or control much more than I ever thought possible.
In you and with you, Precious Lord Jesus, I can see there can be for me a day of power beyond my tragedies and traumas.
In you and with you, Precious Lord Jesus, I can find I can do much more than I ever thought I could do.
In you and with you, Precious Lord Jesus, I can find I have power I thought I did not have.
In you and with you, Precious Lord Jesus, I have a friend who remains with me forever. In you and with you, Precious Lord Jesus, there is no illusion, but only the truth of your love and grace.
In the middle of my tragedy and trauma, thinking about your being a friend who remains with me forever can sometimes ring very hollow.
However, I know if I would just give myself a chance to believe in you and to trust you, then I know you are always faithful and you are always willing to reveal yourself to me in amazing ways in my life.
In my darkest moments, if I am willing to let down my guard and just try a little bit to see past my pain, I can see you standing next to me and see indeed you are not far off.
I know as surely as I am alive you will pour your power down into my heart.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
